“Lei Kou Chai” is a Dancong tea cultivar named after a distinctive local event. According to tradition, the original mother tree was once struck by lightning, hence the name Lei Kou Chai.
In the 1950s and 1960s, the original mother tree gradually declined as a result of the lightning strike. Before it completely withered, tea farmers propagated the cultivar through cuttings, successfully preserving and continuing the lineage. These propagated trees form the basis of the Lei Kou Chai Dancong seen today and have become one of the notable cultivars within the Dancong tea family.
✦ The dry leaves are bold and tightly twisted, with a dark brown, glossy appearance.
✦ The liquor is bright golden in colour, with a rich and expressive aroma.
✦ The aftertaste is clear and long-lasting, leaving lingering fragrance along the cheeks and palate.

「雷扣柴」是一款以地方特色事件命名的單叢茶。相傳其原母樹曾遭雷擊,因此得名「雷扣柴」。
在二十世紀五、六十年代,原母樹因雷擊影響而逐漸枯死。茶農在母樹尚未完全枯萎前,透過扦插方式進行無性繁殖,成功延續了該品種,成為今日所見的重要單叢品系之一。
